![]() ![]() This created/overwrote the SSD Core Storage. Windows Installer was asked to use the SSD part to install Windows, instead of the designated Windows partition which is/was disk1s4. The Windows installation process began but something went wrong and I had to restart it. This is disk1s4, and is normally created by BC Assistant when you partition the disk. I was trying to install Windows 10 using Bootcamp and I allocated around 128GB on which to install it. The only one I erased was the 128GB one, which as I said, I thought was Bootcamp but turned out to be the boot partition. I am 100% sure that I didn't erase the 873GB partition. Once OS X was reinstalled I realised I still couldn't access the main partition and that's when I started posting here. Incidentally, I'm not sure how this got separated from the main 1TB fusion drive - I didn't realise there were two parts to it, I just assumed it was seamless as I never had specific access to the SSD part before. One of which I guess was the space I originally allocated for Bootcamp and the other being the SSD part of my fusion drive. I then booted into recovery mode thinking I could repair my OS, but my only option was to reinstall OS X and it would only let me install it one of the two 128 GB partitions. Once my computer eventually restarted the Apple logo appeared for a little while, a progress bar filled and then I got the no entry sign. That also failed, but while I I thought I had erased the Bootcamp partition, by all accounts I had erased the OS X boot partition. During the second attempt, when selecting where to install it, I thought it would be wise to erase the first partition created for Windows and try again on that. ![]() The Windows installation process began but then something went wrong and I had to restart it. ![]() I was trying to install Windows 10 using Bootcamp and I allocated around 128GB on which to install it - I did this using the Bootcamp wizard.
